International organizations ask the government to set OPM as a terrorist

The International Ulema Council (DUTI) of Indonesia asked the central government to establish the Free Papua Movement (OPM) as a terrorist group related to the riots in Wamena Papua.

Furthermore, it invites members of the Thariqah Ulema Council around the world to propose to their respective countries to declare OPM a terrorist organization.

He said that the International Thariqah Ulema Council was established at the beginning of a meeting of West Sumatra religious scholars held a few years ago.

In 2018, the Tariqah Ulema Council was transformed into an international center based in Istanbul, Turkey. Several countries have joined the International Tariqa Ulema Council, including Morocco, Algeria, Germany, France, Sudan, Egypt and the United States.
