One of the concerns is the construction of the Mimika Sport Complex (MSC). Built since 2013, MSC stands on a 12.5 hectare land owned by the Mimika Regency Government. MSC consists of an indoor stadium, outdoor stadium, athletes' dormitory, and other supporting buildings. The indoor stadium is an arena for badminton, basketball and volleyball. The stadium is designed to be able to accommodate 5,500 spectators, including 75 VIP spectators, and is equipped with a shopping and office area.
.
Meanwhile, the outdoor stadium is equipped with international standard short and medium distance running tracks and a number of other athletic branches, such as javelin throwing, shot putting, and long jumping. The stadium has 2 main stands, namely in the western part with a capacity of 2,200 spectators and the eastern part with a capacity of 1,300 spectators.
.
To accommodate athletes, 2 dormitories are available, each capable of accommodating 50 athletes and 7 coaches. This hostel is also equipped with recreational facilities (fitness / gym) located in the supporting dormitory (support dormitory).
.
The availability of complete sports facilities and international standards was welcomed by the coach and person in charge of athletic achievement Yulius Uwe. Yulius hoped that the presence of MSC could encourage Papuan athletic achievements. Of course also must be accompanied by a regular championship calendar. From the athlete's side also must have hard work, discipline, dedication, and sacrifice. "Only later will the dream of achievement be realized," Yulius said.
