Let's Take Care of Our Nation and Do the Best for God

Papuan religious leader Rev. Alberth Yoku asked residents not to be provoked by the issue of demonstrations and the celebration of the debt year (HUT) of the Free Papua Organization (OPM). Rev. Albeth Yoku asked Christians to focus more on worship activities, and stay away from things that could damage the solemnity in the holy month.

 He said, December is a month of joy. All parties must respect that month, including by maintaining security and peace in the land of Papua.

"We prioritize God to live peacefully in the land of Papua, hopefully all young people, adults in the land of Papua will become more mature to see the reality and increasingly maintain brotherhood, let's become brothers and sisters with each other," he said.

He also said, a harmonious brotherhood is something that is loved by God, because in a harmonious brotherhood God provides abundant blessings, let us protect our nation, we do our best for God, our country and nation.

"We are thankful that all went well, as Papuan children, we must also be grateful that the government has taken accommodative steps. Thank you, President Jokowi, for good policies for all of us," he concluded.
