Ministry of PUPR Builds Sports Infrastructure at 2 Universities of Papua

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is completing the construction of Sports Infrastructure and entrepreneurship of two Universities in Papua Province, namely Cendrawasih University Jayapura City and Musamus University Merauke Regency.

The infrastructure support aims to support the Government's focus in developing human resources (HR) as well as providing guidance for athletes and developing national sports achievements.

The development of sports infrastructure and entrepreneurship between the two universities in Papua began on July 8, 2019 with a budget of Rp 48.3 billion each.

For the University of Cendrawasih, the work includes the construction of a soccer field stand, structuring the area around the football field stands, building a swimming pool, and structuring the landscape around the planning area with construction progress reaching 53.6%.

Whereas Musamus University covers the construction of Sports Buildings (GOR), spatial planning for entrepreneurship around the GOR buildings, and landscaping around the planning area with a progress of 40.2%.

Cendrawasih University area has an area of ​​5 hectares consisting of 6 Faculties namely the Faculty of Social Sciences, Law, Economics and Business, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Engineering, Sports Science.
