The Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian confirmed the commitment of the government of the Republic of Indonesia in accommodating the aspirations of Papuan women. "We will respond to our aspirations first," Tito said at the Jakarta Ministry of the Interior Building on Monday.

However, that does not mean that the government is unresponsive to the aspirations of Papuan mothers. In commemoration of the National Mother's Day which is commemorated every 22 December, Tito recognizes the central role of a woman in the field of government, especially in domestic matters to state policies.
