TNI Doctors in Papua Hold Free Treatment in a Unique Way

A unique thing was seen when the RI-PNG Border Security Task Force Health Team, Infantry Battalion MR 411 / Pdw Kostrad, provided treatment. The team provides free mobile treatment to people who are on the RI-PNG border located in Tanas and Bupul villages, Eligobel District, Merauke Regency, Papua.

It turned out that in order to welcome Christmas 2019, the TNI personnel led by the task force doctor, First Lieutenant Ckm dr. M. Akbar is dressed in a unique style of Santa Claus. Health services are deliberately carried out at the celebration of Christmas Day 2019 and the New Year 2020.

"We have indeed made activities different from usual," said Task Force Commander, Major Inf Rizky Aditya. In addition to providing security, the TNI Task Force also held activities with the theme of Christmas Day 2019 and New Year 2020.

"One of them held a free medical treatment using Christmas-themed clothes, which are Santa Claus-style clothes," he said.

dr. M. Akbar said that the medical treatment of Santa Claus's unique clothes, in addition to providing health services to the community, also to entertain and provide a different Christmas atmosphere to the community.

On that occasion, the Task Force also distributed gifts to children in Kampung Tanas and Bupul. Therefore, they were enthusiastic and entertained by the arrival of the Santa Claus Team from the Battalion Task Force MR 411 / Pdw Kostrad.

One resident of Kampung Tanas, Mr. Markus (53) expressed his gratitude and warmly welcomed the activity of the Yonif MR 411 / Pdw Kostrad Task Force in welcoming this Christmas Day.

"I was surprised because this was the first time I had seen Mr. Santa become a doctor, usually Mr. Santa only gave out gifts to children. But this time it's different, it turns out that Mr. Santa is the doctor who came to examine us all, "he said.
