Arguni Bay District Receives Longboat Donations

The Kaimana District Community Empowerment and Village Empowerment Agency handed over 1 unit of sea transportation facilities in the form of a longboat boat to the Arguni Bay District Government. Delivery of assistance took place at the Office of the PMK Office, Monday (1/13/2020).

Longboat assistance with a capacity of 40 PK machines was handed over symbolically by the Head of the PMK Service, Dra. Joice Tuanakota and was officially received by the Head of the Kaimana District, Septer Samaduda, SE.

Arguni Bay District Head Septer Samaduda explained, this assistance was provided to support governance at the district level. So that services to the community in the villages, including monitoring the use of village funds in 24 villages in the Arguni Bay District can be carried out optimally.

Septer expressed his gratitude to the Regional Government, in this case the Office of Community Empowerment and Village which has prepared transportation facilities for the smooth service to the community.

"As the Head of District as well as representing the people of the Arguni Bay District we express our gratitude to the PMK Office for preparing this facility," he said. Furthermore, Septer hopes, with this facility, coordination with the PMK Office both related to government services and monitoring of village funds can be improved .

He also ensured, at the end of January 2020, his party would invite all Village Heads in the Arguni Bay District area to attend a coordination meeting as well as the signing of an integrity pact at the Teluk Arguni District Office.

The integrity pact referred to, he continued, was related to the commitment of 24 village heads in managing village funds. "This integrity pact is binding on the village head in terms of the use of village funds.

The important point is that if there is an abuse of the village budget, the village head together with his officials are required to undergo both civil and criminal legal processes, "he stressed.
