Branding, Advertising, and Selling (BAS) of Biak Bumfor Tourism

The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Biak Numfor applies the concept of Branding, Advertising, and Selling (BAS) in a tourism marketing strategy. The application of this concept is expected to boost the number of tourist visits in Biak Numfor.

"The BAS concept will ensure the branding (brand) of Biak Numfor tourism becomes a magnet as well as an entry point (entrance) for increased tourist visits. This concept is also expected to increase revenue for local revenue, "said Head of the Biak Tourism Office Numfor Turbey Onisimus Dangeubun, Tuesday (12/31/2019).

Onisimus said the tourism development program was in line with the establishment of Bium Numfor as the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN). The leading tourist destinations of this area are the natural panorama of the sea and Biak Island, and Padaido Sea Park. In addition, the Old Padwa Cemetery, and the remnants of World War II, such as Goa Japan, and war monuments.

Biak Numfor also has natural beauty in the form of beaches, waterfalls, mangrove forests and tourist villages which are potential destinations. Then, a number of cultural attractions, such as Apen Bayeren or walking attractions on hot rocks, and the tradition of sea fishing on the beach (snap mor).

The Biak Numfor Tourism Office will complete supporting facilities and facilities in a number of tourist destinations next year. They will also optimize various media channels to promote tourism objects and mainstay of regional tourism.
