As good citizens, it is fitting for us to filter out various news and information circulating on social media about the security conditions that have occurred in Papua in recent weeks which are deliberately heated by accounts in the name of the people of Papua who say the presence of the TNI-Polri to kill citizens Papua.

To be observed and understood, the presence of TNI-Polri personnel to several regions in Papua is to guarantee and speed up the process of restoring the post-riot security situation. The community does not need to panic, officials are brought in from other regions to ensure that West Papua is safe again, so that the community can move without fear, anxiety and so on.

Withdrawing BKO Brimob and TNI personnel from conflict areas depends on the security and order conditions of the region, if the conditions are safe and there is no more potential for riots that lead to anarchism, BKO personnel from outside Papua will immediately be repatriated.

West Papua Regional Police Chief, Brigadier General Drs Herry Rudolf Nahak, M.Sc, said the presence of the National Police to provide security and order to the people in this area. Because the National Police is responsible for the Kamtibmas, that's why its presence in the community is not frightening.
