TNI's Concern to Elementary School Students at the RI-PNG Border

As a manifestation of TNI's concern for the cleanliness of the school environment, the TNI Soldier Task Force Battalion MR 411 / PDW Kostrad not only maintains the integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia, but also has a role as an agent in shaping the character of Papuan students at the border through positive and beneficial activities.

The border guards of the Republic of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea give examples and teach love of cleanliness and care for the environment to students at YPK Toray Elementary School in Toray Village, Sota District, Merauke, Papua on Monday (1/13/2020).

Danpos Toray, Letda Inf Wesly Wesly Baslius Tanaem, STr (Han) together with 5 members directly teach children to always maintain the cleanliness of the school environment. The goal is that students are always healthy and comfortable in receiving subject matter from the teachers.

"They are very enthusiastic in following our direction and guidance, of course the benefits of cleaning up the environment, especially the school environment are so that the environment is comfortable, clean, protected from illness, becomes at home and enthusiastic about learning," he said.

Dansatgas Yonif MR 411 / PDW, Kostrad Major Inf Rizky Aditya SSos, MHan said that this activity was a manifestation of TNI's concern for the cleanliness of the school environment. It is hoped that the character of students will be more formed, and increase the enthusiasm and motivation to learn by creating a clean and comfortable school environment.

"This is a good learning for students from an early age. Together with the TNI certainly becomes their own spirit, especially done by giving examples directly, interacting and educating so that children always love cleanliness and enthusiasm in achieving their ideals," he explained.

Ani Sahetapy, a YPK Toray Elementary School teacher, Merauke, Papua expressed his gratitude to the personnel of the Toray Post of the Pamtas Infantry Battalion MR 411 / PDW Kostrad who had taught students about the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the school environment by giving examples directly.

"By being taught by the men of the TNI it must be something different and will be embedded in him," he said.
