Jayawijaya Regency Government Extends Smart Indonesian Teacher Contract

The Government of Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Province extended the cooperation contract with 50 teachers who came from the smart Indonesia program. The Regency Government hopes that these teachers will continue their service in 2020 in Jayawijaya.
.
Jayawijaya Regent, Jhon Richard Banua, said that he had discussed the continuation of the contract with the leader of the smart Indonesia program. "The contract has been submitted and has been corrected by the regional secretary. All that remains is for us to sign an extension of cooperation with smart Indonesia," he said, Tuesday (4/2).
.
The Regent will place these 50 smart Indonesian teachers in several schools that still lack teaching staff. "Possibly the place has changed. We will see schools that are not going well, we will place them there," he said.
.
The 50 smart Indonesian teachers entered Jayawijaya in 2019 and were accepted by the Regent Jhon Banua. Previously 50 people were seconded in 20 elementary schools and five junior high schools spread across Jayawijaya.
.
Responding to the shortage of teachers in a number of schools in the interior of Jayawijaya, the government also recruited local youths around the school to help teach.
